I have had many people asking what happened to my dad and I apologize for not answering everyone individually but this is easier and quicker for me.

So...here goes... Dad and Madison were horseback getting ready to go rope calves Thursday evening. Dad was sorting the steers from the calves in a pen on the way to the arena. He had recently put some new gravel in that area. Dad cut a steer back and the horse fell in the loose gravel. Dad hit the ground hard with his head taking the blunt of the fall it appears. He was knocked unconscious but Madison said he never stopped breathing.

He was flown to Stormont Vail in Topeka. He has yet to regain consciousness but I am trusting in God's promises. Baby steps. I strongly believe "the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:16. Thank you for each and everyone one of you praying for him. Please continue.

2 Kings 20:5 ...I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.

Sorry I haven't updated lately but I know so many of you are wondering.

I'll be honest the prognosis is grim. Long story short, Dad has a brainstem injury that is preventing him from waking up. He has a disuse axonal injury to the reticulated activating system which controls alertness. We have seen small moments of hope but the progress has been very slow. The doctor's want to see him responding sooner.

The doctor's are not God.

We continue to pray for God's intervention to touch the brain, heal it, and quickly. We pray for dad's greatest need to be met.

Dad is the strongest man i know and he is fighting. When God created him, He broke the mold as his boss said at his retirement party years ago. We will not give up.

Please continue to pray for dad.

My dad has taught me so much over the years and my future is so uncertain without him. The love and support from all of you near and far has been both humbling and comforting over the past couple weeks.

Dad was a very loved and respected man. He loved selflessly until the very end. He knew I wouldn't leave him so he made the decision for me. I know for certain where he would want me to be. He did the same thing for me so many years ago when my Papa passed away while we were at nationals as well. We are now headed west to honor him and the lifestyle he loved this week at nationals as well.

Thank you all for the prayers. Even though we did not get the miracle we wanted here on earth We were blessed to see little miracles along the way.

I can only hope to have the joy and love like he did.
